mpva Orchestra solo & ensemble 2027

MPVA will be hosting Solo & Ensemble on our campus again this year for our own orchestra students and some students from neighboring middle schools.

 

As the date approaches, Mr Maynard will be sharing more information with students in the Advanced Orchestra Classes. A registration link will be added to this page.

 

After UIL performances end, check in with your student to ask if they plan to participate. Any questions can be directed to Mr Maynard. 

Cost:

-Solo Performance: $12

-Duets/Ensembles: $15 (can evenly split the cost between performers or have one ensemble member pay the total)

 

Optional Accompaniment

Piano accompaniment is available for an additional cost of $40 per piece. Students requesting accompaniment will have a TBD rehearsal time with the pianist in the days prior to solo & ensemble.

 

Payment:

For all payments please use the memo space to write: Solo & Ensemble & the student’s name.

 

-Payment via Zelle (preferred): search for recipient with our email - treasurer@mpvaorchestra.org

 

-Payment via CC: Option Coming Soon

 

-Payment via Check:

Please make out to MPVA Orchestra, put in an envelope with the name of your student and "solo & ensemble" and deliver to Mr Maynard or place in his box at school.

Registered students will receive their performance time closer to the event. If your student plans to participate and you need to work around a timing conflict, please reach out to Mr Maynard: timothy.maynard@houstonisd.org
